Symptoms in Acute Phase
Everybody has an experience of having sore throat, a slight fever and listlessness in the body and wondering if he/she has caught cold. If you experience rash throughout the body and a fever of nearly 40 degrees Celsius after taking a cold medicine or an antifebrile for the treatment of such signs and symptoms, you may have SJS or TEN.
If you experience bloodshot eyes or discomfort/pain in the eyes along with bleeding and erosion on the lips and in the mouth almost at the same time as (or a few days before) rash and blisters throughout the body, you are likely to have SJS or TEN with eye disorders.
You may have difficulty taking food orally because of canker sore and inflammation of the esophagus and experience trouble breathing because of damage to the nasal mucosa, pharynx and airway.
